Chapter Three: Change For the Good

Adriane was just getting started for her first show. She was less than thrilled to see Cy giving flowers to Blair Wainwright. “If I can just get through this show I can afford some new clothes for the cooler season” Adriane thought to herself as she started putting the stage together.

It wasn’t great, but the show was OK. Even though she didn’t have the best show, Adriane has made more than enough to afford new clothes.

She went to sleep next door outside of the karaoke bar, and the next day made her way to the consignment shop for new clothing.

The store clerk was immediately put off by Adriane’s appearance.

“Don’t worry, I have money” Adriane said, turning back towards the rack of clothes.

“Well just hurry up then…” Madison VanWatson muttered, as she returned to the register.

After leaving the store Adriane decided to return to the park. It was only a couple of days into fall and even though Adriane’s teeth are chattering, she’s already used to being soaking wet.

She experimented with the new fire pits that the city put in the park.

Adriane overheard a few of the sims talking about Jack Bunch’s party which was tonight. She was surprised she didn’t get her invitation from Jack Bunch, since she sees him often when she performs her act in the park. She decided to go. Adriane stood outside for a while contemplating whether to go inside.

Suddenly she was spotted by Nick Alto. Nick motioned towards her, bringing the attention of the other party goers to her. Adriane awkwardly went inside. After mingling with the guests for a while, she decided to ask if she could spend the night. “Sure, you can stay in Lisa’s room” Mr. Bunch agreed.

In the middle of the night, Adriane woke up; she was compelled to do something she hasn’t done since she left Lucky Palms. She looked back to see if anyone was looking, and stole the curtains right off of Lisa‘s window!

Adriane immediately felt foolish and decided to lie back down. Even though she was extremely tired, she had a hard time going back to sleep.

When morning came, she left without saying a word. She stuffed the curtains in the Bunch’s mail box. After all, Adriane still had plenty of money left over after buying her clothes.

Adriane walked a short distance to the salon, where she used a pay phone to call a taxi. When the taxi arrived she asked the driver to take her to the diner.

Adriane is happy to sit down and have a hot meal for herself, instead of eating other’s left overs.

While eating, she still felt guilty about stealing Lisa’s curtains. Adriane decided she was going to donate the rest of the money that she made from her gig to charity. She walked across the street to the post office so that she could.
