Adriane made her way into the forest with Bobby. While she
was there, wondering what to do, she saw a unicorn. She made a wish that night,
a wish that everything would work out for her and Bobby.
Without
any place to go, Adriane made her way back to her park. The park grounds were
covered in snow, so she knew she couldn’t sleep there.
Adriane
wandered around for a while with Bobby. She wanted shelter for Bobby and so she
tried to see if the library was still unlocked.
She returned to the Goth’s. No one was home. Adriane and bobby waited outside. She tried her best to keep him entertained.
She
was still getting adjusted to being a mother.
Several
hours passed by. Adriane could tell that Bobby was getting increasingly grumpy.
Her arms were sore from holding him from hours, and she was fed up with having
to wait.
Gunther
saw her and Bobby when he came home from work and invited them inside.
“I… I can’t move!” Adriane screamed and looked at her feet, “I’m
too cold, I can’t move… please take Bobby inside.”
Gunther looked at her with confusion, “Can’t move? Well, you can’t stay out here either.”
He took baby Bobby out of her arms and motioned
Adriane towards the house.
Bobby fell asleep as soon as his little head hit the crib
“Your family has been so kind to me” Adriane said to Gunther
“I really don’t want to ask this, but…”
Gunther cut her off mid-sentence, “You need to get some
sleep now, so please spend the night.”
He stared at her with concern and watched as Adriane
made her way to the guest bed room.
When Cornelia came home, Gunther told her about Adriane and Bobby. Cornelia excitedly rushed upstairs to meet Bobby.
Adriane could only sleep a few hours, the hunger pains were
growing increasingly unbearable. To show her appreciation for the Goth’s
generosity, she decides to cook the family a dinner. Adriane hasn’t cooked
since her and Marty did that night. She looked through the cabinets and in the refrigerator,
the only thing she could find that she could cook were some hot dogs. Adriane
chuckled at the irony and began to cook.
Upstairs, Bobby was content to sit in this comfortable crib.
Even though he couldn’t say it, Bobby knew this feeling of security wouldn't last.
